Of course at Dürnstein castle! Did you not know that? Then its time to take a closer look at the secretive 12th century castle ruins. There is, as in many other places in the nature park, a lot to discover.
For over 900 years the Benedictine seminary have not only shaped the view of the beautiful Nature park municipality, but also the people of the area. Nowadays the cloister still binds the area and the people together with positive development. The entrance to the Nature park Zirbitzkogel-Grebenzen is guarded by the 1000 year old castle at the Styria/Carinthian border.
Concealed wonders and suspenseful history lets one dive into a time long gone. With programs like castle adventure or fairy tale evening the fantasy knows no boundaries.

The Steinschloss (stone castle) lying at 1.209m ASL, shows signs of a mighty Fortification that stood ages ago. The castle had 5 mighty watchtowers and stood 5 stories high. Due to the efforts of the castle society in renovating this castle one can still get to see the awesome structure.

Since the discovery and excavation of an ancient settlement in the well known town of Noreia in Mühlen, there has been much debate about its origin. One can see the history of this settlement in the museum and see the kings house, which was built at a later stage, next to the secretive place of worship.

The farmers museum in Mühlen is a an experience for both young and old. Farm life, work and culture is on display here. Visitors can expect to travel back in time to the 20th Century and see the different work techniques and equipment. In the showroom one can see the handywork of blacksmiths.

At the entrance to Mühlen one can see the emblem of the municipality, " Alte Bauernmühle" (old farmers mills). Here one can be their own miller and mill flour. An exceptional experience is the showday where a variety of 110 different grain sorts can be viewed and a photo display to the theme of "corn to bread". A millers certificate can be earned here.
